Meet the Founders
Jason Coffer | CTO
Technical co-founder. Leads software development and product architecture at ReRoute. Jason attends Pennsylvania State University, where he is studying Software Engineering and Computer Science. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he is passionate about using technology to create social impact to help improve the lives of those in underrepresented communities.
Jackson Miller | CMO
Marketing strategist. A gifted storyteller and content creator, he leads our branding efforts and works to dismantle stigma around reentry through powerful media campaigns. Jackson attended the Hampton University and is now a freelance Social Media and Brand Strategist Consultant. He is also in the process of starting his own affordable clothing line geared towards helping people express themselves through fashion.
Derrick Melvin | COO
Business strategist. With a sharp eye for sustainability and scalability, he makes sure ReRoute grows responsibly while staying aligned with its mission to serve justice-impacted individuals. Derrick is also a full-time student at Howard University, studying Economics and Sports Administration. He also looks forward to practicing law and is passionate about community development.
Our Story
ReRoute began with a simple yet urgent belief: people returning from incarceration deserve more than judgment — they deserve opportunity. Rooted in the communities of Philadelphia and New Jersey, our team has witnessed firsthand how systemic gaps impact those trying to rebuild their lives. We refuse to stand by while thousands face these challenges every day. ReRoute exists to dismantle the stigma surrounding reentry by building a bridge back to dignity, opportunity, and long-term success.
What started as a daydream has grown into a platform helping dozens of users craft resumes, apply to jobs, and reclaim their voice — and this is just the beginning.

We recognize that the transition from incarceration to freedom is more than a legal release — it's a personal rebirth.
